The Import function allows Administrator to import data into the app from a coma delimited CSV file. The import is intended for initial loading o new items, it is not recommended for updates. A sample file can be found in the import section with all the list of attributes available. For your convenience, we create categories, locations, brands and vendors on the fly when not found. You can also import images if you provide the URL. When providing the URL make sure that it is available through the internet. We download and store the image in our server so it is available all the time. You can also import you custom attribute (cdata.attribute), check the attribute name in the custom attribute view.
Make sure that you provide a CSV file format, with coma separated. Numbers and dates in US format (1234.00 and 2010-12-29 respectively)
You can upgrade all your data from the Inventory Control With Scanner app. Just navigate to Settings > Inventory for Business app and tap the Export button, it will open the Inventory for Business app and ask you for confirmation. You need to sign in as Administrator to complete this task. Usually data import and upgrade is very fast, but if you have images expect some delays.
